I have always been a seamstress since before I was in middle school.  My mother used to sew all the clothes I wore in grade school, which meant they fit like a glove.  I started to learn how sew when I was in grade school. I had favorite outfits that wore out first just as if the outfit was bought in the store.  I never realized until I was an adult how lucky I was to have a mother who was so talented and took the time to teach me the art of sewing as well.  Now that I have children of my own, I am using the skills my mother taught me to make the wedding favors when we need those; to make the wedding garter when we need them; to make the prom party favors when we need them; to make the prom garter when we need them; to make the personalized prom favors when we need them.  It’s truly a gift to be able to make things in a way that your children aren’t embarrassed and don’t mind using them. Making these items has saved our family so much money throughout our happy life with our children.  I have passed on the tradition to my girls and I taught my son how to mend, sew on buttons, hem and little things like that so he can depend on himself and not get married for the wrong reasons.  The deal was I couldn’t tell any of his friends or sisters.  Finally, once the girls were in high school they saw him mending one of his favorite shirts.  Apparently, they discussed it very calmly and his sisters were amazed and impressed.  They told him any girl would love to know you can do that.  Plus, if you can dance as well you’ll have all the girls going after you.  My son got a kick out of that and ended up using his skill to reel in the dates.  I don’t think my mother had that in mind when she taught me how to be a seamstress.  Life if funny sometimes….

I found some really nice photo frame favors for my guests wedding favors gifts, but I’m still looking for the perfect wedding frame for my wedding picture.  I’ve looked at several wedding frames and have found two that I really like.  But can’t choose between them.  Maybe I’ll just get two photo frames for my wedding pictures.  Why not? There’s no rule that says you can only have one. Right?

I know there is quite a bit to organize for a girls night out party.  There is the bachelorette party invitations, games, refreshments and bachelorette party gifts.  There are as many to check out as there are wedding favors for the bride to pick from. I had no idea there were so many great bachelorette party ideas to help me plan.

We never expected to receive such lovely wedding favors as the personalized favors they had at the reception.  Everyone commented on how lovely the personalized wedding favors boxes were, and also what unique personalized wedding favors were inside.  A personalized wedding favor was an excellent way to say thank you. 

I should have known that her gifts favors would be every bit as nice as the wedding favors she chose for the wedding reception.  The lovely baby keepsake gifts she bought for her sister’s shower were just as exquisite as the keepsake gifts she had for her wedding.  I don’t know where she gets her favors and gifts ideas, but I sure would like to find out.

Because I am out of town a lot on business, I have ask for help with different things depending on what I am working on, at home, when I have to leave.  Now I need to know who will do it right with my wedding bell, meaning who will pick out what I want for my wedding bells and not spend too much, but complete the task.  I have to either hire someone, or find a friend or family member to help.  It’s hard for me to decide because this is important to me. My sister offered to take on the task.  When I returned, I was thrilled with everything she bought.  She found some wonderfully made wedding bell favors, some large sized silver wedding bell packages.  She told me exactly where these large ones would look good in the reception hall and she’s right.  I don’t have to give a second thought to wedding favors as I was only hoping for help with the decorations, so I am very impressed with my sister’s support and love.

I didn’t know photo coasters could be so neat.  They really do make great wedding favors.  Everyone at the reception thought the personalized photo coasters were fantastic.  Especially the way they used the photo coaster set as a place card for everyone.  That’s a forever photo coaster that’s one heck of a forever keepsake.

These weren’t like wedding favor boxes you buy for your reception, these were adorable baby themed favor boxes for a baby shower.  The favors boxes were so adorable, all done in blue for the baby boy she’s having.  The party favor boxes and all the other decorations she had at the shower were absolutely spectacular.

Wedding thank you cards are a really nice way to tell someone you appreciated there gift. When your planning your wedding reception, don’t forget to buy the thank you cards.

Also, when your shopping for the cards, you could get some wedding favors and thank you favors. The thank you favor on each card is a personal touch.

My fiance wants to combine our honeymoon with a destination wedding in belize.  How great is that.  He wants me to get started on the destination wedding invitations right away and plan everything.  I have to get some accessories and choose wedding favors for the guests that will be coming with us.  I know where I can get some fabulous destination wedding ideas, even favors for destination weddings too.  I’m so excited, I had no idea he was such a romantic.
